With the line 16 on a „musical roller coaster ride“

Almost all of us can tell an anecdote about line 16. The Schauspielhaus of the Theater Bonn shows the play "Linie 16: Musikalische Achterbahnfahrt durch den rheinischen Untergrund" by Volker Racho. The audience goes on a mental journey from Cologne Niehl to Bad Godesberg: What if everyone said what they thought? How did it feel and what did it sound like then? Party people meet shift workers - with lots of music, the performance offers a conglomeration of CVs in one compartment.

"Very British" in the House of History

The exhibition "Very British", which starts with the Brexit and then works chronologically and thematically from a German perspective through years and decades, along stereotypes and irritations, past great emotional moments that repeatedly touched us Germans deeply (Royals) or excited (Football), hits the nerve of our time. At least that's what GA editor Thomas Kliemann said, who dedicated himself to the exhibition at the opening - it's still very much up to date.

  • Where: House of History, Willy-Brandt-Allee 14, 53113 Bonn, Germany

The Life of Vernon Subutex 1-3 in Cologne

The socially critical trilogy by Virginie Despentes is performed for the first time in Cologne. French society breaks into social milieus that no longer want anything to do with one another, crumbles into egoisms, explodes under the pressure of parallel societies, racism and escalating violence - on the streets and in the social media, wrote GA author Thomas Kliemann about the works. The main character is Vernon Subutex, an impoverished record dealer who strolls through Paris and finds shelter with friends and former lovers. He lives in expensive lofts and dark parks, meets homeless people and filmmakers, a coke speculator, a former porn queen and a monomaniac producer.

  • Where: Schauspiel Köln at Depot 1, Schanzenstr. 6-20
