On Sunday afternoon there was a fire in the Friedrich-Ebert-Allee in Bonn. According to the local fire department, three rubbish containers that were located in a parking area on the ground floor at offices of the Deutsche Post were on fire.

Witnesses had alerted the fire department at around 4 p.m. and at the same time, a fire alarm system sounded the alarm. The fire caused a lot of dense smoke. The fire brigade extinguished the burning rubbish containers.

The smoke moved up the facade of the building, partially blackening the facade. The smoke also entered the building through the inner courtyard. As a result, several offices are said to have been filled with smoke. The fire department ventilated the affected parts of the building. Noone was injured in the fire.

The B9 was temporarily closed in the direction of the city centre.
