NRW is preparing for the construction of noise barriers on the A565 in the area of the Bonn-Poppelsdorf exit on Saturday, 20 June. In both directions, only one lane will be available between the Poppelsdorf and Lengsdorf exits from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

From Monday, 22 June to Friday, 26 June, and from Monday, 29 June to Friday, 3 July, the A3 in the direction of Frankfurt between the Lohmar exit and the Bonn/Siegburg motorway will have fewer lanes from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. Only two of three lanes will be available at that time. But all three lanes will probably be open for the entire weekend from 12 noon on Friday, 26 June because of the start of summer holidays.

Construction work on the canal on Alfterer Strasse is already underway. According to the civil engineering office of the city of Bonn, a new shaft structure will be built at Alfterer Strasse/Messdorfer Strasse on 29 June. The work means you can expect partial closures and obstructions along the road but the construction site can be passed.

Traffic is controlled by a construction site traffic light in the area of the roundabout (Siemensstrasse, Grootestrasse, Messdorfer Strasse) and the Alfterer Strasse. Detours are indicated, but motorists can expect longer waiting times. Motorists should avoid the area if at all possible. Work is expected to continue through the end of September if no delays are experienced.

SWB Bus and Bahn (Bus and Rail) is renewing the track at the corner of Kölnstrasse and Wilhelmplatz from Friday, 26 June, 3:30 a.m., to Monday, 29 June. During this time, Kölnstrasse cannot be used by buses or trams between the construction site and Chlodwigplatz. Alternate tram service will bypass Kölnstrasse via Sandkaule, Welschnonnenstrasse, Römerstrasse and Augustusring to Graurheindorfer Strasse in both directions. The trams of line 61 coming from Dottendorf will be diverted from the Stadthaus stop to Beuel station and from there back to Dottendorf.

Between Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz and Kopenhagener Strasse there is a replacement bus service. At the times mentioned in the timetable, line 65 only runs between Beuel Station, and Ramersdorf and Bonn Central Station. The bus stops LVR-Klinik and Chlodwigplatz will be dropped. Passengers can alternatively use Husarenstrasse or Nordstrasse. The Augustusring stop only serves the tram replacement service in the direction of the city center.

From Tuesday, 30 June, 3:30 a.m., to Sunday, 26 July, canal and track construction work will be carried out between Bonn Central Station and Quirinusplatz.

During this time period, line 62 coming from Oberkassel Süd/Römlinghoven ends at Bonn Central Station in the underground on track U 3 and returns from there. Line 61 coming from Auerberg ends at the Central Station and returns from there. Between the stops Hauptbahnhof and Quirinusplatz there is a replacement bus service.

In the period from 30 June to 26 July, the city of Bonn is having the canal in the Bonner Talweg renewed. According to a statement by the City of Bonn, this will affect the sections between Goethestrasse and Königsstrasse. From the beginning of August until mid-September, the sewer renewal will then follow in the area between Königstrasse and Poppelsdorfer Allee.

The city advises that the construction work is likely to lead to traffic obstructions. From June 30 to July 26, the road between Dottendorf and Poppelsdorfer Allee will be completely closed to rail traffic.

During this time period, line 62 ends at the station "Bonn Hauptbahnhof" in the underground on track U3 and returns to Oberkassel Süd/Römlinghoven from there. Line 61 also ends at the stop "Hauptbahnhof" and goes from there back to Auerberg.

Between the stops "Hauptbahnhof" and "Quirinusplatz" there will be a rail replacement service. Since the Hausdorffstrasse can only be used by replacement rail traffic to a limited extent from July 20 to 26, it will bypass Hausdorffstrasse between Reuterstrasse and Eduard-Otto-Strasse via the Bonner Talweg in the direction of Dottendorf.

A construction site traffic signal is to be installed at the intersection Bonner Talweg/Weberstraße. In the area of the remaining sewer shafts, however, it will be possible to drive past. According to official information, renewal of the 690-meter-long canal should be completed by mid-September.

From Saturday night, 20/21 June, until probably 16 August, the concrete road surface on the A61 between Bergheim and Bergheim-Süd in the direction of Koblenz will be replaced with asphalt. According to NRW Roadworks, the section will be completely closed for this purpose. Motorists are advised to stay well away from that area.

Friedrich-Wöhler-Strasse will be completely closed in the direction of Venusberg for around two weeks from Monday, 8 June due to construction underground. This affects line 601 in the direction of Hauptbahnhof/Venusberg. The buses will take a detour from the bus stop "Friedrich-Wöhler-Strasse" to the bus stop "Hedwigschule" and from there continue on the regular route, the bus stops "Georg-von-Boeselager-Strasse" and "Nordfriedhof" will be dropped. In the direction of Tannenbusch there are no interruptions.

BonnNetz will establish a gas network connection in the street Weidengarten in Kessenich from Monday, 15 June, to Friday, 19 June. According to the municipal utilities, the street will be closed in the section between In der Lies and Nikolausstrasse because of the necessary work. Residents can drive up to the construction site.

At several intersections on Bonn's Rheinallee, the natural stone pavements there will be replaced by an asphalt layer. According to the city, the work will start at the beginning of June and should be completed by mid-July. The affected areas are the intersections of Rheinallee at Uhlandstrasse, Jean-Paul-Straße, Herderstrasse and Otto-Kühne-Platz. For the work at the affected intersections, the entrances of the above-mentioned streets will be completely closed off. For the final asphalt work - probably on the first weekend in July - the relevant section of Rheinallee will be completely closed off. Detour signs will be posted.

The City of Bonn is renewing the sewers on Baumschulallee from Monday, 15 June. The road between Colmantstrasse and Kreuzbergweg will be affected. Also on Agrippinenstrasse the sewers between house number 6 and Baumschulallee will be affected. During the work, car traffic will be diverted via Colmantstrasse and Meckenheimer Allee. Residents are excluded from this rule and can pass through. Agrippinenstrasse will be completely closed in the area of the construction work. Residents can drive up there until the closure. The work is to be completed by the end of July.

Between 19 June from 8 p.m. until 3 July at 4 p.m. the Viktoria Bridge in Bonn will be closed to all traffic due to bridge renewal work.

The closure also affects bus line 60 and school bus services. The SB 60 line in the direction of Cologne/Bonn Airport will run during this period from the bus stop "Bonn Hbf. ZOB " via Kaiserplatz and Hofgarten to the stop "Innenministerium" and from there on the regular route. The line in the direction of Bonn Hauptbahnhof is not affected by the closure.

Estermannstrasse in Bonn-Graurheindorf will be closed to through traffic from Monday, 16 March to Friday, 17 July, between Brungsgasse and An der Pfaffenmütze due to a new construction project.

From the beginning of March to probably September 2020, the city will renew the canal on Rochusstrasse. The section from "Am Burgweiher" to “Derlestrasse" will be completely closed for this. During the construction period, the one-way street regulation will be lifted and residents will be able to drive on the street until the construction site is away. There are no restrictions for pedestrians and cyclists.
