Following a robbery at a supermarket on Sanddornweg in Hennef-Stoßdorf, the police have started investigations. As the investigators report, a masked stranger entered the market on Saturday around 7.35 pm and first threatened the customers of the bakery in the entrance area with a pistol. The man then pointed his gun at an employee of the supermarket and demanded cash.

The employee complied with the demand: He opened the till and poured the money into a black backpack belonging to the perpetrator, who then left the store with his loot - a medium, four-figure sum of money. Afterwards, as a witness who stood in the parking lot in front of the market reported, the approximately 1.85-meter tall stranger fled in the direction of Königsberger Strasse.

In nearby Rotdornweg, at about the same time, a red small car with Düsseldorf license plates caught the eye, driving away at high speed in the direction of the Autobahn. Whether this was in connection with the robbery is unclear, according to police.

The police are now asking for information from the public in their investigations. The suspect, who spoke impeccable German, was described by eyewitnesses as being dressed in black with an inconspicuous stature. He was masked with a balaclava and was wearing sportswear and strikingly light socks at the time of the crime. His weapon was black, some parts silver.

Clues about the man or the suspicious car can be obtained from the police under 02241/5413521.
