Restaurant news Bacco under new leadership

Bonn · Italian restaurant Bacco in Alt-Tannenbusch has a new boss. The former owner Stephan Engels, ex-soccer player for the 1. FC Köln and the national squad, has handed operations over to Patryk Kolacki. The interior won’t be changed, but new events like Jazz nights and Cocktail evenings are planned.

The Italian „ristorante“ Bacco in Alt-Tannenbusch is under new leadership. Former owner Stephan Engels used to run it together with Sandro Togni (Valtellina, Bad Godesberg) for years - recently though, Engels and his companion Marco Stefenelli were in charge. Now, Patryk Kolacki took over, who has been working in the restaurant for four years already. „Stephan is something like my Godfather, he will be there, in the background as an adviser and for support“, explains 25-year-old Kolacki.

The interior with the dark-red leather seats and dark wooden furniture including many soccer memorabilia on the walls will remain unchanged. Up to 90 guests find space in the three rooms, including the conservatory. The new boss plans to hold Jazz nights, cocktail evenings and wine tastings. The mediterranean garden terrace, which goes around the entire building, has space for another 100 guests - who enjoy view of the tall hedges, the high sycamores, many box trees and the two fountains.

On the menu there are black tortellini with salmon and prawns, filled with dill sauce (13.50 Euro), venison liver in butter and sage (22.50 Euro), beef tagliata on rucola salad with cherry tomatoes and parmesan (23.90 Euro), BBQ lamb cutlets with vegetables of the day (22 Euro) and as a new dessert: Galia melon carpaccio with a variety of three fruit sorbets (7.90 Euro).

Beers on draught are Sion Kölsch and Krombacher Pils (0.3l for 2.40 Euro each) as well as Krombacher Weizen beers (0.5l for 4.10 Euro).

Eleven open wines (0.2l) cost from 4.90 Euro and 23 bottled wines are available from 21 Euro, i.e. Barbera d'Apassimento by Ricossa (Piemont) for 29.50 Euro or the Chardonnay „La Tunella“ by Premariacco (Friaul) for 25 Euro.
