It may not feel like summer is on the way but before you know it, the school year will be over. Parents and children alike will be looking for summer sports and other activities to keep busy and enjoy the holidays. Through its sports association BISSV, Bonn International School will once again be offering a summer camp for kids, with plenty of opportunities to explore, create and be active.

For three weeks in July, youth from ages 4 to 14 are invited to take part in the camp, which is open to all students, not only those enrolled at Bonn International School (BIS). The “Multi Activity Camp” offers a combination of various creative and non sport workshops. Some of the offers are circus/acrobatics, dance, First Aid, art, baseball, craft, judo, capoeira and more.

Organizers of the camp say the focus is on improving skills in various sports while having fun at the same time. Whether playing games, being part of a team or taking part in a creative workshop, each child will have a chance to participate in a variety of activities. Also planned are special weekly themes, DIY workshops and walks along the Rhine.

The camp runs from July 1 - 19 and students can enroll for one week (210 euros), two weeks (400 euros) or all three weeks (570 euros). Those who are not BISSV members pay an additional 30 euro camp membership fee. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4 pm. It takes place in the BIS sports halls and on the school grounds, Martin Luther King Str. 14, 53175 Bonn.

Registration is open now, and further information can be found at www.bonn-is.de/bissv or by e-mailing to bissv@bonn-is.de The deadline for signing up is Wednesday, May 29.
