To combat boredom during the long-awaited summer holidays, the Office for Children, Youth and Families has launched the city’s holiday programme from 16 July to 28 August with the publication of the brochure “In Bonn ist was los!” (Something’s going on in Bonn!). In it, children from aged 6 and young people will find a variety of opportunities for organising their holidays.

Holidays on the city outskirts, day trips, creative opportunities, museum visits, theatre projects, sports events and experimental workshops are part of a broad range of activities. New in the programme brochure is special labelling of offers intended to be inclusive. Inclusive holiday offers should give a variety of young people with various support requirements the chance to participate on an equal footing.

Both children’s, youth and cultural institutions run by the city as well as independent youth work organisations, associations and leisure facilities will together provide for an exciting holiday programme for all children and young people. The summer holiday brochure is available immediately in all city information points (councils, libraries, children and youth institutions, the family office).

An overview can be found on the city’s homepage. The programme is also available to download as a PDF document (in German) at www.bonn.de/@ferienaktion. Further information is available from the Office for Children, Youth and Families on 0228/ 77 56 68 and 77 37 54.
