Afternoon start Climate change protest announced for Bonn city centre
Bonn · A demonstration on the subject of climate protection has been announced for Thursday, 5 September in Bonn's city centre. Road traffic will not be affected. According to the police, several hundred participants are expected.
The demonstration will start at 5 pm on Münsterplatz with a rally. After that, the demonstration will proceed to the Friedensplatz, the Friedrichstraße, the Wenzelgasse, the market square and via Remigiusstraße back to Münsterplatz. The police assume it will take a peaceful course. The traffic in the city centre is not affected by the demonstration.
The Fridays for Future movement wants to go on strike in Bonn for a week starting 20 September. There will also be a camp in the Hofgarten, where everyone can take part in lectures, workshops and discussions.
