On Tuesday the fire brigade freed a horse in an emergency. The animal had broken through when crossing a wooden bridge and it could not free itself. The fire brigade found a horse in Windeck in an awkward situation on Tuesday afternoon. According to the fire brigade, a woman was travelling with two horses on a hiking trail near the village of Dreisel. One of the animals broke through while crossing a wooden bridge and could not free itself.

Approximately ten emergency personnel came to the assistance of the animal in distress. Hoses were laid under the animal to help it get up. In addition, the firefighters dismantled part of the bridge with a saw. The horse was freed with combined forces and then examined by a veterinarian. According to initial findings, the animal remained unharmed except for minor injuries. According to the fire brigade, it was handed over to its owner and ran and ate normally after its rescue.
