More North America flights from Iceland Air

In the coming year, travelers will see more Iceland Air flights going from Germany to North America. The airline announced that the number of weekly flights will increase significantly starting in May of 2019. On the routes from Frankfurt and Munich to Reykjavik for connecting flights, the number of departures doubles from 7 to 14 per week. From Hamburg there will be 10 instead of 7 weekly flights. The number of connections from Iceland to North America is also increasing. Destinations include New York, Boston and Toronto.

From Munich nonstop to the Northern Lights of Norway

For the first time, Lufthansa is flying non-stop from Munich to northern Norway's Tromsø this winter. There, tourists can watch the polar lights. The connection will be flown twice a week, Thursdays and Saturdays between December 1, 2018 and March 30, 2019, according to “Visit Norway”. Lufthansa has been offering direct flights from Frankfurt to Tromsø since the winter of 2016/17. From the point of view of Norwegian tourism experts, this has contributed significantly to the boom in Northern Lights tourism.
