Post Tower display French artist combines animation with concert
Bonn · Innovative French artist Jean-Michel Jarre is offering something special for Bonn residents on Wednesday, July 12. All day long and into the night, the Post Tower of Deutsche Post DHL will be animated with video and laser design.
Jean-Michel Jarre is performing a concert at the Kunst! Rasen Festival on Wednesday, July 12 at 8 pm. For the occasion, the Deutsche Post Tower will display animation from the cover of Jarre’s popular album “Equinox”. The video and light show will continue until the end of the concert.
Described on his website as an “innovative international superstar “, the 68-year-old French artist uses “the fusion of analogue synthesizers, cutting-edge digital technology, spectacular lasers design and lighting choreography” to create his unique out-door concert performances. He is well-known for his elaborate video and light installations.
With a height of 162.5 meters, the Post Tower will serve as a visual backdrop for the French composer and musician. Those who attend the concert will be able to watch the accompanying display as they listen to the music being performed. Naturally, even residents who are watching from far away will be able to see the illumination on the towering building.
Tickets are still available at the concert venue and online. And it looks like the weather is improving in the evening hours.
