The high water situation along the Rhine near Bonn remains critical. While the Rhine level was still 6.43 meters on Saturday morning at 9 a.m., it rose to 6.70 meters within 24 hours. And the level is expected to rise even further. This was reported by the flood information center on its website.

Because of the flooding, the City of Bonn had already closed off paths, promenades and roads near the Rhine at the beginning of February. They remain closed to traffic.

Rhine ferry Mondorf is not running

The Rhine ferry between Niederkassel-Mondorf and Bonn-Graurheindorf had to stop its services again on Saturday due to the rising water level. When it will be running again is not yet clear.

The ferry on the Rhine between Königswinter and Bonn-Mehlem, on the other hand, continues to run according to the operator. The car and passenger ferry between Remagen-Kripp and Linz also continued to operate normally on Sunday despite the flood situation.
