Independent Bonn International School IBIS opens its doors to prospective parents and pupils

Bonn · Independent Bonn International School invites anyone who is interested to its Open Day at the end of this week. Prospective parents and students can tour the facilities and get a glimpse of a typical school day.

Independent Bonn International School (known as IBIS) is hosting an Open Day on Friday 2 February from 9.30am to 11.30am. Prospective parents and students will have the chance to see classes in action and tour the school’s facilities.

IBIS was founded in 1963 and is a private, international, English-speaking school with classes from kindergarten to Year 7/8. As well as a large number of pupils from the UK, the United States and other English-speaking countries, some 33 nationalities are represented at the school. However, the school serves not only the international community but also local families interested in an alternative to the German school system.

IBIS’s new headteacher, Philip Wharton, other members of staff and pupils will be on hand to answer any queries on the school, its teaching methods and its philosophy and to conduct tours. Refreshments will be provided by the IBIS Volunteer Parents.

The school is located on a purpose-built site at Tulpenbaumweg 42, 53177 Bonn. Those who wish to attend the Open Day are asked to please register by emailing: ibis@ibis-school.com
