Spaces still available Learning German as a foreign language

Bad Godesberg · Interested in improving your German language skills? The adult education program in Bad Godesberg still has spaces open but they are filling up fast. You can register online.

The Volkshochschule (VHS) is what English speakers would refer to as an adult community education program. A new half-year course guide has just come out in Bad Godesberg, including ten courses in “Deutsch als Fremdsprache” (German as a foreign language), offered at various skill levels. “Deutsch und Integration” (German and integration) is one of the eight key subjects offered.

Those who would like to participate in a course should sign up quickly as four of the courses are already booked up, with people on waiting lists. There are still plenty of places in “Deutsch als Fremdsprache A2.1”, which will be held twice a week beginning September 4. In that course, participants will learn to hold every day conversations and to describe people, things and places. They will also learn to understand notices and announcements, and to write simple letters and e-mails.

The director of the courses is Anja Frank-Gretic. More information about the half-year program which begins in September can be found in the internet at: www.vhs-bonn.de Registration is also available on that website.
