First ever German Voodoo Festival: Information event in Beuel as part of the Brückenforum

BONN. To clear-up prejudices - that was the main idea behind the first German Voodoo Festival, which took place in Beuel on Saturday as part of the Brückenforum. Against the common prejudices that Voodoo means a way to hurt other people, it actually is a religion which focuses on healing. With many information stalls, lectures and a live programme the visitors were able to learn a lot about Voodoo. Special guest was Professor David Koffi Aza, a priest from Berlin, who spoke on the background and the many influences of and in the religion. There was also a dance show from Haiti, African food, and concerts by Fredy Massamba & Band and the creole singer Mfa Kera.
