Bonn The decision of the Government and the Federal States to ban major events until the end of August also has consequences for Bonn and the region: This year, no concerts will be held on the Kunst!Rasen and in the Hofgarten. The same applies to Grafenwerth Island and Roncalliplatz in Cologne.
The federal and state governments have decided that no major events will be held until 31 August 2020. This also has consequences for the concerts and festivals in Bonn and the region. While nobody could be reached at Rock am Ring on Wednesday, Bonn concert promoter Ernst-Ludwig Hartz said: "Now that the decision seems to have been made, we are working flat out on alternative dates for 2021. This applies to the Kunst!Rasen series in the Rheinaue as well as to the Hofgarten concerts and the events on Roncalliplatz in Cologne and the island of Grafenwerth. We will be announcing alternative dates shortly.“
According to information by the German Press Agency, the Prime Ministers of the German states and Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed on this ban in principle at a phone conference. Specific regulations, such as the size of the events, are to be made by the individual states.
