L330 One dead after accident in Königswinter
Königswinter · One person died after a serious traffic accident on Monday morning in Königswinter. The L330 was closed for several hours.
A serious traffic accident occurred on the L330 in Königswinter between the towns of Willmeroth and Bennerscheid on Monday. According to current police investigations, a 22-year-old man was on the road towards Oberpleis at around 5.25am.
The driver of the small car left the road to the right for reasons, which are unclear, the vehicle overturned several times and its roof finally hit a tree.
The 22-year-old was trapped in the car and so seriously injured that he died at the accident scene. The rescue services searched the forest along the road to rule out the possibility of another person having been in the car. The force of the impact also threw the car’s engine into the forest.
The road was completely closed until around noon to make the accident report.
