25 to 157 kilometers Pentecost Monday bike tours open to all

Bad Godesberg · For those who enjoy logging lots of kilometers on their bikes in a friendly group atmosphere, Monday presents a great opportunity.

The Bike Touring Club of Mehlem (RTC) invites everyone to their traditional bike outing on Pentecost Monday. Routes to choose from are 25, 45, 78, 113 and 157 kilometers long. The longest route goes to Effelsberg and Sahrbachtal while the 25k goes in the direction of Berkum. The 78k, 113k and 157k go through Remershoven, and Peppenhoven towards Rheinbach.

This is open to everyone, you don’t have to be a member of the RTC. Participants meet at the Sports park Pennenfeld in Lannesdorf where breakfast is served before bikers set out. Tours leave between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. At the end of the bike tour, participants are provided with a buffet of grilled sausages, noodle salad, beverages and cakes.

More information about routes and terrain, and online registration is on their website (in German): www.rtc-mehlem.de. Chair of the RTC Jochen Gütte says all members of the international community are very welcomed to come along. If you can’t understand the German website, no worries, just come along Monday morning and he expects there will be enough people who speak English to help you get off to the right start. It’s all about biking!
