Police in Bonn became aware of an unusually parked car on Monday morning. Police said witnesses reported a car parked next to the A59 around 7am. As the car is behind the crash barrier and does not have any damage, police are not treating it as an accident. The car had also been locked.

The car is on a slope between the A59 towards Meckenheim and the train tracks. Police said the driver must have driven through thick blackberry bushes to leave the car there. The location of the car can only be reached along a narrow track. The driver must have parked the car there on Sunday evening. Police are currently identifying the driver, who initial investigations show comes from the Siegburg area. A federal police helicopter was also used to search the area surrounding the location.

According to police, the car cannot be towed away but must be removed with a crane if necessary. Since this is a company car, the company is now responsible for removing the stuck car.
