Donald Trump banner Police stop demonstration on bridge

Bonn · Three young activists wanted to roll out a large banner criticizing U.S. President Donald Trump at the Konrad-Adenauer Bridge.

On Wednesday afternoon, Bonn police moved in on a few protestors at the Konrad-Adenauer Bridge in the immediate vicinity of the climate conference grounds. Three young activists wanted to roll out a large banner criticizing U.S. President Donald Trump.

Police prohibited the action of the young protesters. Police spokesperson Simon Rott told GA that “it would have endangered the shipping traffic on the Rhine because if its size.” A water police boat was also at the scene. Rott said “The group violated the law of assembly” and a criminal complaint was filed.
