Circus setting up in Bonn Roncalli arrives in the Stadtgarten
Bonn · First, the circus was supposed to put up its marquee in the Rheinaue, then an option opened up for the Stadtgarten: Roncalli is currently setting up and preparing for the premiere on May 10.
Circus Roncalli has started the construction of its marquee in the Stadtgarten at the Alter Zoll. The premiere will take place on Friday, May 10th at 8 pm. The Roncalli artistes, acrobats, and clowns will perform on Adenauerallee until June 1. On Thursday the four main masts were erected first and on Friday the connection of the marquee’s „palace“ followed. Head of logistics Patrick Philadelphia and tent master Michele Rossi set up the arena and the colourful surroundings with a team of 25 people. At first, it was planned that Roncalli would set up on the meadow in the Rheinaue, where the Kunstrasen team organises its concerts in summer. But the renovation of the Stadtgarten for the Beethoven anniversary year 2020 is delayed. The circus was therefore permitted to give its performances in the city centre.
