Bonn At exactly 31 degrees Celsius, last Saturday set a new record temperature for Bonn this year. However, the weekend heat did not reach the peak temperature from 1995.
This year’s record temperature from 28 May (30.4 degrees) was exceeded last Saturday in Bonn with exactly 31 degrees. According to the weather statistician Klaus Kosack, the second highest temperature ever measured in Bonn on 30 June was reached at around 4.15pm.
The record holder is still 30 June 1995 at 31.3 degrees. The number of summer days this year is also unusual: 32 days on which the 25 degree mark has been exceeded is a new record. The previous leader was the year 2000 with 31 summer days.
