Police investigating Several cars scratched in Friesdorf
Friesdorf · Several cars have been scratched in the Annaberger Straße in Bonn-Friesdorf. The police are investigating and have put notes on the cars.
Several cars parked on Annaberger were scratched on Saturday night. The affected area where the cars were parked was near the start of Friesdorf near the railway line.
It is still not clear whether one or more persons are responsible for the damage, the police say. They have started the investigation and left notes on the vehicles asking those affected to report to the nearest police station.
The police are not yet able to say how extensive the total damage is. However, since some of the scratches extend over the entire side of the car and were obviously made with a sharp object, several thousand euros per car can quickly add up for paintwork.
In the case of damage to a car caused by vandalism, you are only covered if you have comprehensive insurance (Vollkaskoversicherung). This covers most damage caused by vandalism. Partial comprehensive insurance (Teilkasko) only covers glass breakage - regardless of the source of the damage.
