Ice Cream United Soccer star Lukas Podolski visits his ice cream shop in Bonn
BONN · The former star of the FC Cologne soccer team, Lukas Podolski, made a detour to Bonn on Wednesday evening. He paid a visit to the recently opened branch of his ice cream parlor "Ice Cream United" in the city center.
On Wednesday, there was a high profile visitor to Bonn city center. Soccer player Lukas Podolski (34) came to Bonn on Wednesday evening for a stop in his ice cream parlor called "Ice Cream United", situated on Poststraße. Fans quickly gathered around the ice cream shop, and the former professional of FC Cologne (1. FC Köln) posed for selfies.
The Bonn branch opened at the beginning of June. Podolski also operates two branches in Cologne, one at Heumarkt and the other in the Belgian Quarter. The Rheinenergie Stadium will also have his ice cream in the future.
The 34-year-old could not appear in person at the official opening of the ice cream shop in Bonn. He was not in Germany at the time due to his engagement with the Japanese club Vissel Kobe. He made up for his absence on Wednesday evening.
