Bonn/Region · For days now, things have been stormy in Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district. On Thursday, the gusts of wind become even stronger. The German Weather Service has issued a warning.

Even after carnival, the region continues to be stormy. The low pressure area Cornelius causes squalls in the region. The German Weather Service is currently warning of gusts of wind of up to 70 kilometres per hour in Bonn and up to 80 kilometres per hour in the Rhein-Sieg district. The warning is valid until 6 pm on Thursday evening. The experts warn that tree branches may fall and be a risk to people. Pedestrians should also pay attention to falling objects.

The meteorologists expect mild temperatures for Bonn and the region - in Bonn it will be up to 14 degrees on Thursday. But the storm can sometimes be accompanied by heavy rain.

According to forecasts, the weather will be similar on Friday - with maximum temperatures of 12 degrees. A mix of sun, clouds and stormy winds awaits Bonn and the region on the weekend.
