The woman is said to have been heard shouting for help. The attacker then fled the scene. According to initial information, he is the former boyfriend of the seriously injured woman. People who were in the area saw the woman and provided first-aid while notifying emergency services and police.
Bonn police said on Monday morning that the 23-year-old was taken to hospital and according to medical information, her condition was initially life-threatening.
