„Tatort" team from Münster Thiel and Boerne investigate in Wachtberg

Wachtberg · The „Tatort" team from Münster is in Wachtberg these days, currently filming a new episode. Jan Josef Liefers and Axel Prahl as the investigative team Thiel and Boerne are also on site, of course.

It is no longer a secret that large parts of the Münster-„Tatort“ are not filmed in Münster. Thus the investigating team was already frequent guest in Bonn, Thiel and Boerne are now also in the Ländchen - more exactly said: in Pech - on criminal hunt. Axel Prahl and Jan Josef Liefers are currently filming the "Lakritz" episode.

Liefers could not resist a variant of a popular pun (-> Pech translated into bad luck) on Instagram in the morning: "First you had no luck, then the Pech fire-fighting team got there too," Liefers wrote under a photo of the fire station in the village. "Yes, fortunately there is the fire brigade Pech", came the answer of the fire brigade promptly.

The story of the episode is about the murder of the Münster market master Hannes Wagner - an „institution“ in the city. For 40 years he had led the well-known weekly market and celebrated this day. The next morning he is found dead in his house. Almost every one of the market suppliers would have good reason to send Hannes Wagner to the afterlife. "Not to mention those whom Wagner did not delight in the decades of his reign with one of the coveted licenses for a stand on the market," said the WDR in a press release. One of the traces leads Commissioner Frank Thiel (Axel Prahl) and forensic scientist Professor Karl-Friedrich Boerne (Jan Josef Liefers) to a small liquorice manufactory, to Monika, Boerne's first love, and to a case long ago, which finally turned little Karl-Friedrich into big Boerne.

Further roles are played by Friederike Kempter as Commissioner Nadeshda Krusenstern, Mechthild Großmann as Public Prosecutor Wilhelmine Klemm, Christine Urspruch as forensic doctor Dr. Silke Haller, called "Alberich", and Claus D. Clausnitzer as taxi driver "Vadder" Thiel. The script for "Lakritz" was written by Thorsten Wettcke and directed by Randa Chahoud.

At the film location, a sophisticated villa in Pech, relaxed activity prevailed on Tuesday. In the impressive scenery, furnishedwith a huge staircase and a large chandelier, one of the first sceneson the shooting schedule: finding the body. In addition to the core team, coffin porters, domestic help and the police were also on site. The scene had to be repeated countless times on Tuesday until everything was finally in the box. This didn't detract from the good mood. As one employee told on the set, the cooperation with Liefers, Prahl and Urspruch was and still is "a lot of fun". The trio was "totally sociable, very nice and polite".Although there are caravans and portaloos on the square in front of the fire station, the actors and the team don't spend the night in Pech. Even if the work continues there on Wednesday. 21 shooting days are scheduled for the crime scene, as well as for the other episode parts of the crime series.

"The house in Pech is known for film work taking place here quite frequently," said Wachtberg's press spokesperson Margrit Märtens on GA inquiry. Next week, for example, Sat 1 is shooting the pilot for a new crime series there too. The community is always involved when the film team parks cars on public sidewalks or blocks roads. "Then we as a city council grant exemptions," says Märtens.
