t’s a new week, and the people of Bonn and the surrounding region have to be prepared for rain and thunderstorms. After a mostly dry Sunday with highs between 24 and 27 degrees and light to moderate winds, the south of North Rhine-Westphalia will experience isolated, sometimes heavy showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain as early as Monday morning, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).

The thermometer will then show highs of 24 to 28 degrees and 22 degrees on high ground. The wind will generally be light, but gale-force winds are possible during thunderstorms, according to the DWD.

On Tuesday, there will be more showers and thunderstorms in some areas of North Rhine-Westphalia, locally also with a risk of heavy rain. In the afternoon, however, the weather will become increasingly clear. Temperatures will range between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius at higher altitudes. In addition, there will be light to moderate winds; strong to stormy gusts cannot be ruled out during showers or thunderstorms.
