Picture puzzle with Christmas tree View of Bonn’s largest construction site from the air

Bonn · During the festive period, a green Christmas tree has been shining over Bonn's largest construction site. There is also a lot to look at on the Neuen Kanzlerplatz.

Viewed from the air, the Neue Kanzlerplatz - Bonn's largest construction site - looks like a picture puzzle. With so many boards, construction machinery and containers, you don’t know where to look. Were it not for the shiny green Christmas tree on one of the huge cranes, which can be seen in the dark from miles around.

To get your bearings: The Reuterbrücke can be seen at the lower edge of the photo. Prominent points include the chimney of the heating and power station halfway to the left and the transmission mast on the Venusberg halfway to the right, marked with red dots. On the construction site, the new buildings are slowly rising up from their foundations. As reported, Art-Invest Real Estate is building a new office complex on the site of the former Bonn-Center between the bridge, B9 and Straßburger Weg, in which the main tenant is the Postbank. The high-rise building planned here will be 101 meters high. The construction work is due to be completed by 2022.
