99 Balloons - 80s fun in Malentes Theatre Palace

Malentes Theater Palace presses the rewind button and takes the audience back to the 1980s - with their shoulder pads, carrot pants and pleated trousers, with Dallas, Denver and the "Schwarzwaldklinik“, aerobics, walkman and of course hits by Nena, Modern Talking and Madonna. A colourful programme with authentic dance numbers and lots of parodies awaits the audience at the play "99 Luftballons".

Blues Festival Bonn

On two days the Blues Festival is celebrated in Bonn-Dottendorf. On Friday, The Chaingang Kings will perform, the new ambassadors of European Retroblues, who were founded in Bonn in 2015. Then it's the turn of the German Blues Award winner, Michael van Merwyk. On Saturday, A.G. & The Motelkings and Greg Copeland will come along.

Brings in the Rhein-Sieg-Halle

Here, singing along is not only permitted, but expressly demanded: The Kölschrocker Brings invite you to the sing along concert "singsulautdekanns" in the Rhein-Sieg-Halle in Siegburg.

City festival in Bad Godesberg

The organizers of the Bad Godesberg town festival, which is celebrated throughout the weekend, want to offer a colourful programme and above all a lot of Woodstock feeling in memory of the festival 50 years ago. Starting on Friday at 5 p.m. with the tapping of the barrel on the Theaterplatz, followed by arts and crafts, culinary delights and live music with Woodstuff and Romeos. Sunday is open to the public, with entertainment on the stages as well. Among other things there are puppet shows and the Baskets Dance team performs. The band Aach und Kraach will end the festival with their performance at 6.30 pm.

California Dreams in the Bundeskunsthalle

Works of art and historical objects on the eventful history of California and especially the city of San Francisco can be seen in the Bundeskunsthalle. The exhibition "California Dreams: San Francisco - A Portrait" draws a multifaceted portrait of the city over four centuries in three sections.

KAWUMM at the GOP-Varieté-Theater Bonn

A picky official trapped in a world of wonders and adventures? The GOP Varieté Theatre makes it possible. The new play "KAWUMM" is about the conscientious and always tidy Mr. Mutzmann, caught between filesand numbers - until he comes up with the idea of assigning a feeling, a colour, an event, a name, a place to every number he encounters. Suddenly - "KAwumm" - he is his own hero’s story.

Endenicher BurgRock

The first "BurgRock" at Endenich Castle is organized by the cultural and civic association Endenich (Kube). Theyhave drummed together bands and musicians from Bonn and the region who want to present themselves at this open-air festival. Among others, slapstickers, Das frivole Burgfräulein and Stereogold will be present.

Concert with Der Maus in the Kölner Philharmonie

Beethoven's 250th birthday in 2020 is reason enough for Die Maus (from the popular kids tv show „Sendung mit der Maus“), together with the WDR Symphony Orchestra and Johannes Büchs, to go on a scavenger hunt through the life of one of the greatest composers in music history. Exciting laughter and factual stories, a musical fireworks display and real sparks of the gods in the finale.

10 Open garden gate

In the northern and southern Rhineland, many private gardens will open their doors again this weekend. This year a total of more than 280 gardens worth seeing are taking part, inviting you to visit and discover them from spring to late summer. From the region among other things the gardener's shop Auerbachs garden is nearbyand opens its doors.
