BONN/REGION · Strawberry season is here and it is the perfect time to get out and buy some fresh berries or pick them yourself. Here is a list of stands where you can buy berries as well as places where you can go pick your own.
Strawberries grown locally are a real treat. This year the strawberries are early in Germany, because the sun was shining a great deal on the foil tunnels where some of the strawberries are cultivated. It's nice and warm inside, so the strawberries ripen faster.
Bonn residents don’t have to go far to get to a supermarket and there is a big produce market in the city center, but strawberries can also be found at these places in Bonn and the region. Some can be purchased already packed in cartons and there are places where you can pick your own strawberries as well.

The Obsthof Schneider has several strawberry stands in Bonn and the region, which are all open Mondays through Saturdays. Besides strawberries, the Wachtberg fruit farm also sells other produce.

Strawberry and asparagus farm Ritter in Bornheim
This farm has existed for 30 years. Sabine and Claus Ritter run the store, which also has many produce stands in the region. The cultivation areas are located between Bonn and Cologne in the Rhine valley. In addition to strawberries, asparagus is also sold.
