For the first time, the Bonn International School is hosting an alumni event. On February 21, all graduates, parents and former teachers are invited to stay in touch with BIS and one another. To register for the BIS alumni evening titled „Wine-tasting with friends“, all guests are asked to RSVP by February 15.

„This is a first-time event for our local BIS alumni, also including alumni who attend the Bonn American and British High Schools“, says Natalie Niklas, development manager at Bonn International School (BIS). „These are the two schools which merged to make BIS.“ According to her, the plan is to offer people the chance to stay in touch after school. „We are doing this because we have heard that a growing number of graduates and their families live in Bonn and would like to stay connected withBIS and their old friends and teachers.“ The school’s mascot is the dragon. Natalie Niklas: „We like to say 'once a dragon, always a dragon’.

The alumni meeting is scheduled as a two-hour event, starting with a welcome from the Director, Patricia Baier, and an ice-breaker activity (BIS alumni bingo) to get conversations going. „We will then do a tasting of four local wines (Ahr valley and Drachenfels) with nibbles“, says Natalie Niklas. There will also be an opportunity to take pictures with former school friends, teachers and fellow parents.

To give the organisers an idea of numbers attending, please RSVP to development@bonn-is.de by Friday, February 15.
