Repairs on overhead line Work in subway tunnel continues into the evening

Bonn · Due to a damaged overhead cable at the subway stop „Bundesrechnungshof“ there were no trams going to the main station until 10pm. When the overhead line came down, a 59-year-old was injured.

The city bound tram line between Olof-Palme-Allee and the main station was closed down due to a damaged overhead line at the tram stop „Bundesrechnungshof“. According to the City Council, the lines 16 and 63 towards Bad Godesberg were reopened earlier at 6pm, but the trams pass the area of the damage slowly.

The line 66 is going from Siegburg to the main station as usual and now again via Kennedy bridge to Beuel and on to Bad Honnef. For the route between main station and Olof-Palme-Allee, busses are being used.

The overhead line was ripped down at around 1.30pm on Friday by a train, injuring a woman standing at the platform. The 59-year-old was brought to a hospital.
