Several officers were on duty in the apartment in Heerstraße. Nobody was found there. The GA learned that one of the suspects might have connections to the so-called Reichsbürger scene. He was considered a suspect in an earlier trial.

As Buß, who works for the public prosecutor's office, further announced that evidence was seized, which is now being evaluated. The focus of the officers' interest had also been on the camera with which one of the suspects had filmed the incident in Troisdorf. "An evaluation is still pending, said Buß. He said that it was a possible criminal violation of personal rights, since the video was uploaded unpixelated in the supermarket and put on the Internet. Buß did not comment on possible arrests.

During the search in Troisdorf, the accused had been found in the apartment, unlike in Bonn. The police have not arrested him, however. "An arrest will only be made if he has to be remanded in custody", Buß said. There is no reason for this at the moment. The investigation would have to show what would happen to the two of them: "There may be a charge later and then a trial."

A preliminary investigation is now pending. "We will review and evaluate the evidence", Buß told the GA. Buß did not want to comment on whether the perpetrators belonged to the Reichsbürger scene, because: "The classification of Reichsbürger is one that the police has made. He could only say of the two suspects that one had a dual (German-Eastern European) and the other a purely Eastern European citizenship. The two men are 35 and 37 years old.

"I hope that we will get some peace and quiet now", said Buß. "We also have to see what happened with the story at the supermarket." Possibly witness statements can still help to clarify the incident. Buß also hopes that more video material will help to clarify the matter than has been posted on the Internet so far.

The almost five-minute video (GA reported) shows two men talking to the police in a supermarket. One of the two men, who speaks broken German and Russian in the video, films the incident with a camera attached to his chest. The police officer asks him to turn off the camera, which he does not respond to. In the course of the conversation, the police officer gives the other one a reprimand. The man behind the camera claims that he needs him to translate. Later, the situation escalates and two police officers are seriously injured.

A female resident living in the house where the Bonn suspect has his apartment describes the wanted man as very calm. "Frankly, I thought he had already moved out," she said. She said she hadn't heard much from him. "I haven't seen him for a good year either." According to her, this was the third time in the last two or three years that the police had to come for him. Once he came home under the influence of drugs and threatened passers-by with a knife. The fact that he might be suspected of being part of the Reichsbürger scene was first revealed to her through the newspaper. She had not noticed any signs of this in him.
