Series “I see something that you don’t see...” Here is how it looks inside a luxury suite at the Kameha

Bonn · In the General Anzeiger series, “I see something that you don’t see...”, readers are taken to places they might not normally visit. This time, we get a glimpse inside a luxury suite at the Kameha Grand Hotel.

Slowly I pull back the gray curtain in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows. It is foggy outside, only occasionally does the sun break through the cloud front. And yet, a beautiful view opens up to me. My gaze wanders over glistening waters and deep green forests. Against the picturesque backdrop of the Siebengebirge, the Rhine follows its leisurely curves along the Bonner Bogen. I am on the fifth floor of the Kameha Grand Hotel. This is what it feels like being a guest in the Royal Suite of the luxury hotel.

Two bedrooms, two living rooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen occupy an area of 200 square meters. The individual rooms are exquisitely furnished with a red leather sofa, fluffy seat cushions and six TVs on the walls. This luxury comes with a price. An overnight stay costs on average 2,000 euros, the price varies depending on the occupancy rates at the hotel.

The Kameha opened in Ramersdorf nine years ago with 254 rooms in total. Especially in the Royal Suite, guests have some extraordinary wishes. International DJs help guests celebrate private parties there, extended families host dinner for friends on the rooftop, and personal trainers set up private gyms. Once, a guest even asked to take off the feet of the bed so that he could lay at an angle. Another requested that all furniture, from sofa to the dining table, be covered with sheets.

Nothing seems impossible in this suite. Slowly I am strolling from room to room, looking at chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, flat screens on the walls, at the spacious roof terrace with its wicker chairs. Some stay here for weeks, I stay here for only one morning. But these few hours are enough for me to really enjoy the view over the Rhine.

The series "I see something that you don’t see ..." allows readers to see places they might otherwise not see. The second episode takes you to the Royal Suite of the Kameha Grand Hotel in Ramersdorf.
