Clinker brick façade darker than expected Scaffolding removed from Urban Soul in Bonn
BONN · Now everyone can judge for themselves if they like the façade colour of Urban Soul opposite Bonn's main station. The scaffolding on the new building has now disappeared.
Baring all, sorry, without scaffolding they’re now standing there, the new buildings of the Düsseldorf project developer "Die Developer" on the site of the former Bonner Loch between Poststrasse, Maximilianstrasse and Rabinstrasse.
The project developer has christened its project "Urban Soul", which consists of a commercial building and the Motel One hotel as well as an office and parking garage diagonally opposite. All buildings are scheduled for completion in the course of this year. Now everyone can probably get a better idea of the clinker facade of the commercial building and hotel than before, which has been the subject of criticism: the client has chosen a darker clinker brick than was originally visible in the visualisations.
Efforts by politicians to change this failed. However, the architect had declared at the time that the brick/colour in the photos appeared much darker than it would be in daylight.
