On the other hand, the year "69" also matches the occasion of his guest performance: the 50-year-old of the logistics company DHL, which merged with Deutsche Post in 2002.
The downer for all Bonn fans of Bryan Adams: Unless they are employees of the Deutsche Post DHL Group, they will at best be able to hear the concert from afar as „ear witnesses", because it is reserved exclusively for employees. "The exclusive concert is the pinnacle of a series of highlights with which DHL celebrates its 50th anniversary," says a company spokeswoman.
The concert will take place on the grounds at the foot of the Post Tower, where the KunstRasen concerts have taken place in recent weeks. There will be a separate registration and admission procedure for employees for the Bryan Adams guest performance, and a new fence will also be erected, according to the spokeswoman. The fact that the Post is celebrating on its doorstep is nothing new. Last year, the company's summer party was held there – also in a fenced-in area. Bryan Adams is an official partner of DHL's global media campaign to mark the company's anniversary. The transport company was founded in California in 1969.
